Oklahoma Open Records Act

Request public records

Pick a city, describe the records you want, and send your request in minutes. You get a private link to follow the city's response, reply, download files and withdraw at any time.

1. Choose a city

These public bodies accept Open Records Act requests through Guerrilla News. The city receives your request and answers you directly.

How it works

Your privacy

Guerrilla News sees nothing about your request unless you tick the sharing box. The city's internal notes are never shared. Newsroom staff cannot read a city's drafts, recordings or unshared records requests.

  1. You send the request. You get a private status link on screen and by email.
  2. The city acknowledges it. It may ask you to clarify, or send a fee estimate.
  3. The city responds. It provides records, provides part and explains the rest, or explains a denial with its legal basis.
  4. You follow along. Reply, download files, or withdraw from your status page at any time.
