Sources and tips
- We do not reveal a confidential source's identity without that person's permission.
- You can send a tip without giving your name. If you share contact information, we use it only to follow up on your tip.
- For the most sensitive tips, do not use a work phone, work email or work network.
What we collect
- Newsletter, alert and member sign-ups: your email address and the settings you choose. Every email has a way to stop it.
- Website visits: basic, aggregated visit counts. We do not sell personal information.
- Documents you submit through our free public tools become public, as the form explains before you submit.
