Who we are
Guerrilla News is owned and operated by Guerrilla.News, Inc., a nonprofit charitable organization recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. No corporation, political party, campaign or government agency owns any part of us. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Guerrilla News is an independent nonprofit newsroom that holds Oklahoma government accountable in all 77 counties. We report on how public officials spend public money, make public decisions and treat the people they serve.
We file the records requests, sit in the meetings, walk into the courthouses and publish what we can prove, with the documents attached so you can check our work.
We started as Guerrilla Publishing, a father-and-son YouTube channel. Today our reporting reaches hundreds of thousands of Oklahomans every month on our website, YouTube and Facebook.
Our newsroom

Leads the newsroom and has the final word on what we publish: assignments, video production, editing and the website.

- Investigations. Original reporting built on public records, court filings and recorded meetings.
- The Records Clock. Every open records request we file, with a public count of how long each agency has taken to answer.
- The Case Tracker. Lawsuits and filings we bring or follow, with the documents attached.
- The Paper Trail. Agendas, minutes and meeting videos for local governments across Oklahoma, gathered in one place.
- Tip Line. A confidential way for anyone to bring us a story.
How we are funded
Readers fund our work through one-time gifts and monthly memberships. Local businesses support us as sponsors. Sponsors and donors receive public thanks; they never receive a say in what we cover or how we cover it, and they never see a story before it runs. Guerrilla.News, Inc. wholly owns Guerrilla Publishing, LLC, which handles sponsorships and other business activity; every dollar it earns stays with the nonprofit and its newsroom.
How we work
- Every claim ties to a document, a recording or a named source.
- We separate what records show from what remains an open question.
- We protect sources and never publish a source's identity without permission.
- Donors and partners fund the newsroom. Nobody buys a story, a slant or silence.
We fix our mistakes in public and disclose conflicts of interest. Read the full policy on our Ethics and independence page and our Corrections page.
